ICE Thuggery

32 people have died in ICE custody. Denied life-saving medication and water. Beaten. Choked.

Since January 2025, there have been at least 28 shootings by U.S. immigration agents, including ICE and Customs and Border Protection, resulting in nine (9) deaths as of January 27, 2026. Specifically, there were sixteen (16) shooting incidents involving DHS officers since July 2025, with at least ten (10) people struck and three (3) killed.

Of those 500,000 arrested in 2025, only 1 in 15 was released. Many have never been heard from again – they have disappeared, often directly from detention. This happens in authoritarian regimes.

Denying this is complicity. As much as I love my family, one brother, a stand-up-and-praise-Jesus type of evangelical Christian, who attends religious and poltical propaganda classes after mass on Sundays, said these things to me, after I posted about the atrocities committed by ICE agents:

1.) “It’s all fake news.”

That’s to be expected from people who have FOX faux news running all day in their homes. It’s there when they get up, while they’re preparing to go to work, while they’re driving to work, while they eat meals, while they work around the house, while they prepare meals or clean the yard. It’s background to their lives. They don’t realize that this is exactly how BRAINWASHING works. The say they are just speaking their minds, that these are their own thoughts. But they are not, I have caught people parroting the exact language, to the words and sentence structure, as FOX News puts out in their non-news segments. This goes in your brain, whether or not you are actively listening. To be fair, this happens when you have any kind of talking-head-opinions-about-the-news playing to your brain, be it left or right. Opinions are not facts. Sometimes they are simply lies. That stuff stays in your brain.

2.) “Just stay out of their way.”

Really? What if they arrest, or worse, attack you for watching them? That’s happened. You can go to jail for just being nearby, or recording what you are seeing ICE do. Most serious – it can happen to you if you’re non-white, and you’re at work, in school, or at home. Make no mistake, some of these ICE people are racist thugs. They target people who have dark skin or a heavy accent – people who they see – whether they are just walking down the sidewalk, eating, working, or playing.

“Stay out of their way”? What if they are attacking a friend, an acquaintence, or a relative? Do I just walk away? What if they are attacking and arresting a non-violent, non-criminal citizen? Do I turn my back? What if I see these kinds of violent behavior being rained down on anyone? Do I just turn my back and walk away?

NO. I WILL NOT.

ICE has killed nine (9) people just so far in 2026. Two were white-skinned — you’ve heard their names. other people were not white-skinned: Parady La, Keith Porter, Heber Sanchaz Dominguez, Victor Manuel Diaz, Luis Beltran Yenez-Cruz, Gustavo Nunez Caceres, and Geraldo Lunas Campos. You probably didn’t hear their names.

And I ask this of those who believe that their guns will protect them from the “Government”: Did a gun protect Alex Pretti? He was wearing a gun. He had a legal, Constitutional right to do so. He did not brandish it. It was not seen by ICE agents until they threw him to the ground and subdued him. His crimes: using his phone to record their actions, and helping a woman get up who had been pushed to the ground by ICE thugs. He was shot multiple times, executed, while “subdued” after they found his holstered, unused gun and took it away. He was then shot multiple times after he was dead. Will you speak out or not? Or will you just parrot “Government” lies? Were these thugs just “doing their jobs”? That is no excuse. And yes, they were doing the job they were hired to do: intimidate and inspire fear, by any means, whether lawful or not. Why? To provoke a reaction. Why? Because then the lawless thugs in the “Government” can declare Martial Law, which will suspend elections. The take-over of the United States is imminent, if you, yes, YOU, do nothing.

If you agree, let’s do one other little thing at every restaurant, when you are asked if you want water, or you order a drink, just clearly and politely say, “No ice, please”. What if it becomes a thing? What if people hear you say that, and they start asking for “No ice, please” in unison? And it happens all over the country? It’s a small thing. Be kind and considerate to your servers. Tip them well. Don’t get mad at them. Leave it ambiguous. Keep it cool.
